The New England Round Table of Children's Librarians was established in 1906 by Alice M. Jordan, Supervisor of Children's Services at the Boston Public Library, to nuture and promote the children's librarianship field. It continues as a vital organization today as a section of the New England Library Association, also affiliated with the Massachusetts Library Association.
