Frank Douglas Moor wsa born in Tallahassee, Florida, in October 1894. He attended public schools in Tallahassee and Georgia School of Technology. He then became associated with the Southern Telephone and Construction Company and became president of the Company following the death of his father. When the Company was sold in 1929 Mr. Moor entered general insurance business in Tallahassee as vice-president of the Midyette-Moor Insurance Agency, Inc. He served as director, secretary and.
Treasurer of the Leon Improvement Company, Moor Brothers Holding Company, and the Tallahassee Development Company, and was associated with other businesses. He served on the Governor's Mansion Advisory Committee, the Leon County Community Council, Leon County Tax Council, Leon Taxpayers Protective Association, as well as many other organizations.
