Walpole, Edward, Sir, 1706-1784
Variant namesSir Edward Walpole (1706-1784) was the son of Sir Robert Walpole, the first prime minister of Great Britain, and the brother of Horace Walpole. He had an illegitimate daughter, Maria, who later married Prince William Henry, Duke of Gloucester and Edinburgh, King George III's brother.
