In 1971 an executive order moved the Office of Economic Opportunity to the newly-established Office of Manpower Planning and Grant Administration (1971 Executive Order No. 24). Prior to 1976 the Office of Economic Opportunity became the Division of Human Resources (1976 Executive Order No. 46).
