Died Nov. 18, 1999, at age 82. Studied at the National Academy of Design and the Art Students League and with Philip Guston. Taught at Princeton Univ., Tyler School of Art of Temple Univ., and the Art Students League. Students included Frank Stella. Spent four years at the American Academy in Rome.
