Minot (Harvard, M.D. 1844) was Hersey Professor of the Theory and Practice of Physic at Harvard Medical School from 1874 to 1891, and was physician, then consulting physician at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston from 1859 to 1899. He studied the diseases of women and children.
