Began in 1943 at the Civilian Public Service camp for conscientious objectors in Waldport, Oregon; William Everson was a founder and director of the camp's Fine Arts Group, from which many contributors were drawn. Ten monographs were published by the press: the first, Ten War Elegies by Everson was published in April 1943; moved to Pasadena, California in 1946 or 1947, after the camp was demobilized.
