Culp, Johnson W.
Culp served as a private in Company G, 87th Infantry Regiment of the Indiana Volunteers, from 12 August 1862 until 30 July 1863, when he was discharged for disability. He enlisted as a musician from LaPorte, Indiana "but carried a gun in preference to a drum."
