Gaillard Thomas Lapsley (1871-1949), Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge, delivered the introductory lecture at the local lectures summer meeting of the University of Cambridge, 1918. He also edited lectures, with an introduction, in The America of today, Cambridge 1919.
