Calhoun Family.
James M. Calhoun was mayor of Atlanta from 1862-1866 and continued to live in Atlanta until his death. William Lowndes Calhoun, James' eldest son, helped to found the Confederate Soldiers' Home and was president of the board of management for ten years.
