Folk singer, poet and actor, Logan Eberhardt English was born in Paris, Ky. and lived in Bourbon County. His father, a well-known civic leader and Baptist minister, was Logan B. English. His maternal grandfather was Frederick W. Eberhardt, also a Baptist clergyman. Logan E. English attended Georgetown College and Yale University Drama School. He is noted for composing and performing folk songs, and for his poetry.
