Bunker, Edward, Jr., 1847-1914.
Edward Bunker, Jr. (1847-1914) was born in Garden Grove, Iowa. The oldest of thirteen children, his parents were Edward Bunker, Sr. and Emily Abbott. His father became a Mormon in April of 1845 and Edward Bunker, Jr. followed his father into the Mormon lifestyle. He married Arminta Araminta Zerasa McClellan on November 28, 1870 and had 13 children. In 1877, Edward Bunker, Sr. and his family, along with several other Mormon families, established Bunkerville in the southern part of Nevada. Located along the Virgin River in Long Valley, Bunkerville was established upon the principles of the United Order. Edward Bunker, Jr. was ordained as a bishop and oversaw many of the financial, church-related, and day-to-day business in Bunkerville.
