Born in 1731, George Onslow was the son of Arthur Onslow, speaker of the House of Commons. He moved invalidation of Wilkes's election in 1769, and was involved in the Horne Took law suits. He was comptroller of the Household in 1777, and Lord of the Bedchamber in 1780. He was present at the marriage of the Prince of Wales and Mrs. Fitzherbert in 1785. George eventually became the 1st Earl Onslow. He died in 1814.
