Davenport, Minnie Tevis, 1874-1962.
Daughter of James H. Tevis, Minnie came to Arizona on the first Southern Pacific train in 1881. She was raised in Teviston (later Bowie) and married Tom Davenport, a Southern Pacific Railroad engineer. She moved to Tucson in 1898 and was active in the Arizona Children's Home, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Pioneer's Historical Society.
