Historical note: Womens civic organization; the Tucson Woman's Home Council of Missions was organized in 1912. Their mission was to spiritually uplift the community by investigation and alleviation of social conditions, missionary works, and fellowship. It was an affiliate of the national United Council of Churchwomen. Its members represented local churches in Tucson.
