Women's Studies is an interdisciplinary program in the College of Arts and Science. Established in 1978, the program provides students with fuller understanding of the nature and role of women through academic study. These records, used in the publication of Defining Moments in Women's Studies, a history by Sheryl Kleinendorst and Jean Ford, also provide an historical perspective of women on campus, as well as trace the development of the program.
