The plate production for Audubon was of such a great magnitude that the Havell's had to hire 50 new staff and move to a larger premises at 77 Oxford Street, which they named the Zoological Galleries. After 1839, Robert Havell emigrated to upstate New York, where he became a leading member of the Hudson River school.
