Norton Family (University of Guelph)
The material documents a substantial market garden operation in Burlington, the family's school bus business, and much else about society and community in the area. A. Norton's mother's great great grandfather, Donald McMillan, first came to Burlington in 1837 and the family market garden was in the family until the 1960's. A. Norton's father's great great grandfather settled in Tapleytown, Wentworth County also in 1837 and the family came to Burlington in 1910. The farm is still in the family.
