Otto Isakower was born in Vienna in 1899, where he received his education and practiced as a psychoanalyst. He emigrated to England in 1938 and then to New York in 1940. In his professional capacity he was known for his interests in dream research and in the pedagogy of psychoanalysis. His wife Salomea was also a practicing psychoanalyst.
