McCaghy, Charles H.

Dr. Charles H. McCaghy is a professor emeritus of the Department of Sociology at Bowling Green State University, where he specialized in criminology and the study of deviance. His publications include the books Deviant Behavior: Crime, Conflict, and Interest Groups (Macmillan, 1976) and Crime in American Society (1980), as well as numerous articles on social deviance and stripping, many written with colleague Dr. James K. Skipper, Jr. The materials in the McCaghy Collection of Exotic Dance from Burlesque to Clubs come from Dr. McCaghy's personal collection of striptease research and memorabilia.
