The Colorado Labor Council was formed on May 26, 1956 after the merger of the AFL and CIO in December, 1955. The CLC was one of the founders of Denver and Pueblo's Job Opportunity Centers, sponsored the weekly television program "Labor Language", and has involved itself with numerous labor, social, and political problems of the state.
