The Feminist Action Alliance, Inc. (ACTION) was founded in November 1973, in Atlanta, Georgia. The organization was formed to work toward the full participation of women in the social, political, and economic life of their community and concentrated its efforts in three areas: political action, employment, and rape. In 1980, the third area was changed to concern for the family.
