Benjamin Rice Aston, attorney and historian, was born in Houston on February 26, 1934, graduated from Rice University in 1956, and continued his education at the University of Texas School of Law. An active member of the Sons of the American Revolution, the Sons of the Republic of Texas, and the San Jacinto Descendants, Aston died on February 22, 2007.
