Irene Adler was born on September 9th, 1898, in Buttenhausen, Germany, the daughter of Louis and Mathilde (née Löwenberg) Adler. She was the sister of the musician Karl Adler (1890-1973). Irene Adler visited the trade school 'Zepf'sche Institut' in Stuttgart. Here, she met Maria Hagenmeyer. After graduating from the trade school, Irene worked as a secretary in Stuttgart. In 1936, Irene, her sister Fanny and her parents immigrated to the United States, settling in New York City, where she worked as an accountant. Irene Adler died in 1980 in New York.
