Elizabeth Dennis Hutchins, daughter of Edward L. Dennis of Scotland, Connecticut, attended Connecticut State College [now the University of Connecticut ] and graduated in 1936. After graduation, she attended the Hartford College of Law (later part of the University of Connecticut ), receiving her J.D. degree in 1939.
