Ashcroft Water, Electric and Improvement Company.
The Ashcroft Water, Electric and Improvement Company was incorporated in 1899 to supply Ashcroft, B.C. and the surrounding area with power, water and light for domestic, mining and manufacturing purposes. The company was sold to Henry Robert Budd around 1934, and then again in 1953 to the B.C. Electric Railway Company. Ashcroft Irrigated Lands Ltd. was established in 1952 with Budd as the major shareholder.
