Lopes Vieira (1878-1946) was a Portuguese poet and author. He was born in Leiria and attended the University of Coimbra, spending the years from 1902 to 1916 as Redactor da Câmara dos Deputados in Lisbon. He resigned that post to spend more time reading and writing poetry and his home (S. Pedro de Moel) became a haven for artists and writers. José Bruges de Oliveira (b. 1889) was an author, poet, and publicist. He was one of the founders of the journal Tradicão.
