Founded in 1941, the University of Connecticut School of Business Administration (now School of Business)has evolved into one of the most comprehensive business schools in the nation, offering academic programs at the bachelors, masters, doctorate and advanced certificate levels, in five Connecticut locations - Storrs, Hartford, Stamford, Torrington and Waterbury. The School of Business has established a strong reputation for high quality research and academic programs, spanning a wide array of functional disciplines - Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, and Operations and Information Management.

Founded in 1941, the University of Connecticut School of Business Administration (now the School of Business ) has evolved into one of the most comprehensive business schools in the nation. In 1947 the school instituted its first academic departments, and included accounting, finance, industrial administration, insurance, law & secretarial studies, and marketing. Beginning in 1964 the school offered a full-time MBA program, extending the the school's original MBA program which had been offered only to U.S. Air Force Officers.

The School of Business currently offers academic programs at the bachelors, masters, doctorate and advanced certificate levels at five Connecticut locations – Storrs, Hartford, Stamford, Torrington and Waterbury, and has established a strong reputation for high quality research and academic programs, spanning a wide array of functional disciplines. The school currently offers degree programs in accounting, finance, management, marketing, and operations and information management.
