King, E. S. (Edward Scull), 1887-1962
Edward Scull King (1887-1962) was an alumnus of Guilford College. After graduating, he worked in the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) at the University of South Carolina (1914-1917) and Vanderbilt University. He came to North Carolina State College in 1919 as Secretary of the YMCA and served until his retirement in 1955. The "Y" was the center of campus social and religious activities during King's years as secretary.
