Boardman, William K., 1915-1993.
William Boardman was born in Iowa. He attended Grinnell College and graduated from Drake University. He became an investment banker in Iowa but joined the U.S. Coast Guard in World War II. After the war, he became involved in business in Alaska, becoming an insurance underwriter in 1950. He served in the territorial and state legislatures (1953-1955, 1961-1971) and was Speaker of the House (1968-1969). He married Genie Chance in 1971.
