The Southern Baptist Historical Society was founded in 1938 and located on the campus of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. During the early years of the Society it promoted the history interests of Southern Baptists; stimulated the work of state historical organizations; and collected an impressive collection of Baptist material.
