Biographical Note

• 1908, Sept. 27: Born, Vienna, Austria
• ca. 1913 - 1924 : Studied piano
• 1925: First marriage (divorced 1939)
• 1927: Psychoanalyzed daily for six months by Eduard Hitschmann in Vienna, Austria
• 1928: Awarded certificate in piano (Staatsprufung in Klavier), Vienna, Austria Birth of son Alexander R. Torok (“Axel”)
• 1936: Moved to join husband in Alexandria, Egypt
• 1940: Second marriage (divorced 1949)
• 1942: Worked in tuberculosis ward of military hospital in Alexandria, Egypt, and eventually caught the disease
• 1949: Married Alfred Trog
• 1957: Alfred Trog committed suicide Became psychoanalytic patient of K. R. Eissler
• 1961: Met a new companion following the death of her third husband with whom she divided her time between Florence, Italy, and Vienna, Austria; the companion died in 1971
• 1983: Moved to be near son in Lake Jackson, Tex.
• 1992, Dec.: Died, Lake Jackson, Tex.
