Michael Terry was an inland explorer, and in addition a freelance journalist and broadcaster. He led fourteen expeditions (using both automobiles and camels) to central, northern and Western Australia between 1923 and 1938 mainly for mining companies seeking minerals. Terry was the author of books and numerous magazine articles; these were mostly related to inland Australia.
