Nicholson, Valentine, 1809-1904.

Nicholson, a native of Clinton County, Ohio, was an abolitionist active with the Underground Railroad. For a time he lived in a communal settlement, Prairie Home, near Urbana, Ohio. Nicholson was also interested in spiritualism and attended seances. He died in Indianapolis. A daughter, Mary, married Horace McKay.

He also experimented in a communal settlement, Prairie Home, near Urbana, Ohio. Nicholson was interested in spiritualism, attended seances, and wrote of his experiences. He later lived in Wayne and Marion Counties in Indiana and died in Indianapolis. A daughter, Mary, married Horace McKay.
