Elizabeth Reeve Cutter was born in Cleveland, Ohio, 29 May 1873. She graduated from Smith College in 1896; married Dwight W. Morrow (Amherst College Class of 1895) in 1903. They settled in Englewood, NJ. Dwight Morrow rose quickly in the banking industry to become a senior partner at J. P. Morgan. They had four children: Elisabeth Reeve Morrow (Morgan), 1904-34; Anne Spencer Morrow (Lindbergh), born 1906; Dwight W. Morrow, Jr, 1908-76; and Constance Cutter Morrow (Morgan), 1913- 95. Dwight Morrow died in 1931. Elizabeth Morrow was active in civic affairs on the international, national and local levels; and dedicated to the interests of Smith College, serving as President of the Alumnae Association, 1917-20; Trustee, 1920-50; and Acting President of the College, 1939-40. She also traveled widely and published several books. Elizabeth Cutter Morrow died 23 Jan 1955.
