Tranter, John E.
Variant namesPoet and author, born in Cooma in 1943. Described as one of the leaders in the "New Wave" in Australian poetry. He has published four books of verse: The Livin' is Easy (1964), Parallax and Other Poems (1970), Red Movie and other poems (1972) and The Blast Area (1974), a one-act play The Man on the Landing (1968) and has written several book reviews. He has also edited Poetry Australia, Transit, Free Grass and Leather Jacket.
