The Parents Association at the University of Minnesota was founded in the 1930s as the Dad's Association, which was originally formed to support University sports, but over time evolved to become an organization for parents' of University students that allowed them to become active and learn about the University. The Parents Association offered dinners, shows, meet and greets and other special events for its members.
