Max Katz family.
Max Katz is a native of Schotten, Germany, who emigrated to the U. S. prior to World War II. Katz settled in Hoboken, New Jersey. After arrival in the U. S., Katz sought help from American relatives in order to finance the passage of his parents and sister from Germany. Because the correspondence in the Katz papers terminates in 1942, there is no indication as to the fate of the Katz family members in Germany.
