Rudd, Ralph
Ralph Rudd was a labor organizer. Labor's Non-Partisan League was founded in 1936 to support the re-election of President Franklin Roosevelt and promote favorable union legislation. SWOC was also organized in 1936 to unionize steel workers.

Ralph Rudd (b. 1915) served two terms in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1959 to 1962 as Lake County's representative. A Democrat, Rudd championed numerous liberal causes such as unemployment compensation, minimum wage laws, worker's compensation, and the abolition of capital punishment. At the end of his first term he was named outstanding freshman legislator. Prior to his political career he practiced law, an occupation he resumed after 1962. Rudd also served as director of the Cleveland Civil Liberties Union and on the board of directors of the Ohio Consumers League.
