Harrison A. Price

Harrison Price graduated as an engineer from Caltech, class of 1942 and attended Stanford receiving an M.B.A., Class of 1951. Price managed the Stanford Research Institute's LA office in the 1950s where he assisted with locating Disneyland in Anaheim. In 1958, he founded ERA, Economic Research Associates, a consulting company in economics. Price located Disney World in Central Florida 1963, and wrote a Universal Studios tour feasibility analysis in 1964. In all, Price carried out 6,000 consulting studies with the staff of ERA peaking at 90.

In 1969, Price sold ERA to Planning Research Corporation, the world's largest conglomerate of professional service consulting. Price became Chairman of the Board after serving seven years in corporate management. Price then started an independent consulting company in 1978, founding Harrison Price Company. In 1994 Price was the first recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the TEA (Themed Entertainment Association) and was elected to the International Association of Amusement Parks Hall of Fame in 1995. For 37 years he has served as a trustee of CalArts, the Disney-founded school of all the arts, in Valencia, California where he served with Edie Wasserman. Price, continually active though in semi-retirement, currently resides in California and published a book, Walt's Revolution! By the Numbers in 2004.
