Zimmerman family.
Family of Jacob and Lena (Schoepfel) Zimmerman, German immigrants who arrived in the U.S., in 1843, lived in Cincinnati, Ohio, and in 1851 joined a wagon train and migrated to Oregon where they settled in Fairview where they farmed until 1869 when moved briefly to Portland where Jacob worked as a machinist for one year when they moved to a farm site in Gresham.
