Born September 28, 1912 in Erie, Kansas; educated at Mississippi Southern College and Texas Women's University; received John Cotton Dana award in 1948 for public relations activities at Snohomish County (Wash.) Library (1945-49); Mississippi Library Commission (1950-67), serving as its director for ten years; director Pacific Northwest Bibliographic Center (1971-77); died 1983.
