Eugene Lerner is the younger brother of the American writer, Tillie Olsen. He and his partner Hank Kaufman ran an important talent agency, sharing in hundreds of film productions involving both American and European companies. They represented Gardner, Magnani, Delon, Schneider, Mercuri, and Zeffirelli. Lerner's most successful projects were WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE, ROMEO AND JULIET, AND THE TAMING OF THE SHREW.
