Kortner, Fritz
Biographical note: Austrian emigre writer.
Born Fritz Nathan Kohn in Vienna, Fritz Kortner immigrated to New York City in 1937. He became part of the literary circle around journalist Dorothy Thompson and writer sinclair Lewis. Written with Thompson, the play "Another Sun" closed in 1940 after a short run. He wrote and acted in Hollywood in the 1940s, then relocated to West Berlin in 1947.
