Adams, Cyrus Hall, 1909-1985.
Cyrus Hall Adams, III, a Chicago business executive, civic leader, and member of the Chicago Board of Education, was born 1909 Oct. 24, the son of Cyrus Hall Adams, Jr., (1881-1968) and Mary Shumway Adams (1882-1962). He grew up in Lake Forest, Ill., and attended The Hill School in Pottstown, Pa., and in 1931 received his A.B. degree from Princeton University. For 36 years, he was employed by Carson, Pirie, Scott & Company in Chicago and served as vice president for civic affairs before he retired from Carsons in 1968. Wife: Harriet Adams.
