Splake, T. Kilgore
Variant namesT. Kilgore Splake (born Thomas Hugh Smith, December 8, 1937) is an American poet, photographer, and editor. Splake was born in, and still resides in Michigan. He attended Western Michigan University where he received his bachelors and masters degrees. He became a high school and college professor before an early retirement to become a writer. Splake was the founding editor of CLIFFS Soundings and his work has earned him a dozen Pushcart Prize nominations and has drawn international attention to Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Splake is also the Editor in Chief of Angst Productions of Calumet, Michigan.
