Minnesota Friends of Cyprus.
Minnesota Friends of Cyprus, formerly the Minnesota Cyprus Committee, the latter founded in Minneapolis/Saint Paul in 1974. Major purposes are related to the Cyprus problem: to contribute to its just solution, to provide information, and to aid refugees. The organization lobbies with the U.S. government, holds public discussions and other events, and has published a newsletter (Jan. 1977-Nov. 1979). Members have participated in regional, national, and international events, including the 1975 Women Walk Home (Cyprus). As of 1987 the MFC was inactive but still extant.
