Taylor, Hugh M.
Circuit Court Judge.
Hugh M. Taylor was born in Tallahassee, Florida, on February 9, 1904. He was educated in Florida public and private schools, and attended Law school at Washington and Lea University. He married Martha Correy in 1935 and fathered 2 children. He served in the State House of Representatives in 1931, and held several other state posts before becoming a Circuit Court Judge from Gadsden County for the 2nd Judicial Circuit in 1945.
He was a member of the State Commission on Constitutional Government, the Florida Constitution Advisory Commission, and the Florida Constitution Revision Commission. He helped to found the Gadsden County Bar Association. He retired from the bench in 1976 to go into private practice. Taylor died in Tallahassee in July of 1987.
