Liberty Hall, located at 218 Wilkinson Street in Frankfort, Kentucky, is an example of late Georgian architecture and was built as a home for Margaretta and John Brown. Construction began in 1796 and was completed in 1800, using bricks and nails made on the Brown estate and timber harvested on the land. The Flemish bond structure stands two-and-a-half stories high with an ell wing. The house remained in the Brown family until 1937 when it was sold to Liberty Hall, Inc. It now operates as a museum under the management of the Colonial Dames of America.
