Brown, Oscar

Oscar Brown (1903-1997), who was born in Norway, came to the United States at the age of 22 and worked a variety of jobs to earn his way. In 1928, he entered the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota. On graduation in 1930, he made his way to Juneau, Alaska. He served as a Lutheran missionary on Little Diomede Island, in Seward, and in other Alaskan localities.
